Our latest Needles delivery included a handful of items from their Rebuild range. The Ribbon Flannel combines a single vintage shirt with strips of fabric from a selection of others, creating an interesting aesthetic with an array of plaid patterns. Each one is different, in its colour and proportions, which makes for a truly unique garment.

The Rebuild by Needles collection has grown this fall to include a couple of new shirt styles. The Ribbon Flannel was the first in the series and while it's one I quite like, it may be a little wild for some people. The Rebuild Western Shirt, however, might be a more wearable option, and it still offers the unique patchwork look the brand has become known for.

Rebuild by Needles Fatigue Pants

I've seen a lot of the jacket and shirt models from the Rebuild by Needles line, but I haven't seen many bottoms. This pair of fatigue pants made out of fatigue shirts is a particularly good example of how Needles can take something classic and turn it into something avant garde. The tasteful use of multiple tones adds a lot of contrast and these fatigue pants are a great option for a pair that are totally unique.

Words

The Rebuild by Needles project is an especially interesting one. With so many military inspired brands and products available, it isn't easy to create something unique. By taking apart, and rebuilding the garments with the 50/50 olive fabric, it provides a one-off piece with interesting pockets and details, in a very wearable piece.
