We've said it before and we'll keep saying - The Real McCoy's make the best knit goods in the world. We can't find anything nicer than the prints, cottons and fits that the Japanese company produce season after season. We've bought a handful of printed and striped tees this season, including a plain red melange color that was made especially for our store.

Leslie Williamson's excellent People Watching series continues with a visit to the home and studio of London based designer Max Lamb. "Lamb and his girlfriend, the artist Gemma Holt, share a live-work space in a former shoe factory in North East London. Entering the front door of No. 11, you pass through Lamb’s workshop first before entering the living area. The workshop is packed: polystyrene is stacked to the rafters, and European oak dowels of every size imaginable line the walls."

Before we opened our shop, the Alden sales representative came to our shell of a space. We put in a custom order for some longwings that would have an Inventory stamp. Ever since then I had thought about those brown suede longwings, complete with a plantation crepe sole and natural welt.
