Lad Musician's new collection seems to be almost entirely inspired by the late '80s psychedelic 'drug band' Spacemen 3. I was excited when I saw the range in Tokyo, because although their music is certainly better than most other acts associated with that genre, I was always equally impressed with the band's visual aesthetic.

Unlike past versions, this season's Actuator Jacket by Arc'teryx Veilance is rendered in Gore-Tex. The understated exterior, drop hand pockets, adjustable hood and elastic cuffs remain, but the textile upgrade takes the lightweight style up a notch in terms of versatility. First published in 1988 and now into its second edition, this book of portraits from the acclaimed photographer Duane Michals presents 125 gravure printed plates in a large 11 x 14-inch volume. The composition of Michals' images is masterful and totally distinct, relying on visiting the subject and capturing their essence on location, rather than bringing them into the studio. It’s this approach of avoiding shooting outside of the subject's element that instills all of his photography with the ephemerality of passing moments – his trademark for nearly 60 years.

New York-based label Clyde have just released their Spring-Summer '15 collection, but this video was shot on a cold winter's day in upstate New York. Directed by Nathan Corbin, the single-shot piece features the brand's owner and designer, Dani Griffiths, with music by Shinichi Atobe.

Freunde von Freunden: Sayori and Toyotsugu Wada

The father/daughter duo of architect and surfer, Toyotsugu, and illustrator and music lover, Sayori Wada, were recently the subjects of a Freunde von Freunden interview profiling their incredible light-filled, beach-inspired home and providing insight into their daily lives. The former certainly seems a lot closer to an idealized surf home than the cramped living spaces the Japanese metropolis is sometimes known for, making for a refreshing glimpse of enviable Tokyo living.
