Our second delivery from Beams Plus arrived recently and to our pleasant surprise, the red and black plaid flannel items looked and felt better than we remembered. Unlike your usual flannel, the Japanese cotton twill has a slightly more coarse texture, but it's still very soft and feels good on. The strong plaid pattern is perfect on a scarf and works really well with olive, tan and chambray.

^A lot of companies buy fabrics from swatches and end up using the same patterns, colors and fabrics as other brands - I think Beams is noting that this is one they have made up for themselves, so nobody else will have it.
