Words

Each season Engineered Garments is one of the brands I'm most excited to see. Their lookbooks are always interesting, exciting and very well executed. The Fall-Winter '13 offering is no different. With a playful mix of patterns, materials and a few new styles, the latest collection is unsurprisingly one of my favorites.

Dont like it----as usual FAR too much detail.

Think this is the best collection he's done in years. Will be picking up some bits from this one for sure.

As usual, fantastic use of prints and textiles. But I was hoping to see some more substantial, cold-weather outerwear such as the amazing melton mackinaw from last season, so a bit discouraged. I am very curious to see which pieces will be brought in by Inventory!

Dear Dr Mike Butthurts, of course there's loads of detail! It's Engineered Garments, that's what they do. If you want minimal there are plenty of other brands doing that. If it wasn't for the fact that you comment on every other post I'd have guessed that you weren't familiar with EG.

Looks strong by the way, especially liking the sixth picture.

As ever, looks way too much styled together like this. As ever, I will be buying some of it...

While I'm sure there will be multiple pieces I like from the upcoming collection, as always, the looks in this particular preview seem so randomly piled on and incoherent. The detail Mike mentioned is great on its own, as EG pieces tend to look best anyway, opposed to jumbled on top of each other. Looks silly.

The tartan shirt dress? I can almost hear the laughter if I walked into the the office in that.
