Esemplare

—01. Designed and produced in Italy.

Words

Esemplare is only into their third collection and already have shown us an impressive range of garments. This was the first time I've been able to have a good look at their products, and I was pretty impressed on our first day at Pitti. The Italian brand is designed by a former CP Company designer, so there is some similarities in the technical treatment of fabrics, and the classic sportswear aesthetic. There was a great palette of navy blues, greens and tans in the SS12 collection, highlighted by a number of nice lightweight jackets, and a handful of knitwear pieces. So far the collection has only been available in Italy, where it is made, but it should soon be available at a handful of retailers in the UK.

Nice B/W shots. Ryan, what camera are you shooting with? I think I noticed a Leica cap in the last post? Keep it up.

Looks like the film grain filter on the D-Lux 4 to me.

Looks like a nice brand - a bit Stone Islandy maybe.

Did these fellas pay for your flight to Pitti then?

Certainly looks that way.

Money literally talks. Tut tut.

those jackets look like they are in need of an iron:)

It might be the D-lux indeed, my new favorite setting...

The collection looks nice to be honest, we were personally impressed, regardless of how we got to Pitti. The jackets don't really need an iron however, the fabrics should be touched and felt, the treatments are very interesting. Definitely a Stone Island influence due to the designer working with them in the past I'd imagine.

Yeah - I guess anybody coming from a Massimo Osti brand background is gonna be all about the fabric.

Like these 'behind the scenes' posts of you guys on the move. Cheers.

Glad to see CP getting a mention. Football hooligan associations aside - they were a great brand and still produce some lovely garments. Different aesthetic, but I feel there is a kinship with EG. This collection looks a lot like CP and Stone Island, yes.
