Words

Here's the last few snaps from Florence this summer. There's some sneak peeks at new pieces from Post Overalls and Engineered Garments, and a look at the legendary Milky Pig event put on by WP Lavori. The trip was very busy, but we also had a great time and it is always nice to connect with our friends from around the world.

as it seems to have turned into a bit of a tradition in the comments section to speculate on what simon is wearing:
frogskins, birdshooter, 44s, clarks, white t (maybe albam/sunspel perhaps?), looks to hot for those to be cords so maybe supreme chinos?

White T: I'm 99% sure I know the answer. And it's definitely not Albam or Sunspel. It's a wildcard you won't be thinking of... But he won't want me to give the game away...

All I'm saying is: he picks up a grip every time he's in New York... Last day steez.

Go get em' Sherlocks...!

^Hahaha! You're 100% right, on the T, and the fact that I'd rather not give up the source...

The perfect white T is hard to come by. Gotta have some secrets.

Thanks for keeping a lid on it! The iced teas are on me in a couple of weeks!!

too right, simon, the perfect white t is an illusive beast. you think you've found it, buy it again and the fit is entirely different... only available in new york eh?
June 22, 2011 | Unregistered Commenterlouis
Not only available here, but only available to those in the know with access to secret handshakes and passwords...

The White T Illuminati.

The hunt continues...

Guys posting drivel about 'the perfect white T' really demonstrates that you have - in e words of one of my service users 'brains the size of a chick pea' and comparably narrow life's even if you do go to Florence. This level of commodity fetishism is pathetic and one you will realise it. WAKE UP

Jo: So what you're saying is you've never found "the perfect white t"?
June 24, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterJ.S
No what i am saying is that as much as I like clothes the search for the perfect white T is an INANE distraction. This stuff i.e clothes really should be little more than n amusing distraction. To elevate it above and beyond that is an indication of a limited imagination and too much money.

Very hard to skinny guy to find a well-fitting tee, but you've found one..

Jo: I'm only messing with you. The thing is I agree with a lot of what you might be trying to say (except regarding the thing about too much money - tshirts are normally pretty cheap), but wouldn't you say getting all hot and bothered about these sorts of things doesn't really make it any better? I mean if clothes are only an amusing distraction it doesn't seem worth while to get so upset about them. In fact it sort of seems like you're missing your own point. I happen to think worrying about who's wearing what sort of white t-shirt is going a little far, but if that's what people want to know, then why worry about it? I certainly wouldn't accuse them of having a lack of imagination. Maybe they just find it harder than others to shop for themselves? Maybe they just like white t-shirts?

$100 says it's a Uniqlo white tee.

Justin... Nope. Sorry. Double or nothing??

Sorry to pick this up late, but for me its about finding ones own uniform, therefore, finding the perfect white t shirt or the perfect navy crew neck, that you can buy season after season and wear day in-day out, which is more difficult than it sounds, and for me interesting to discuss. It is unique to each person, i really like a particlular merino sock from m&s and qould be dissapointed if they stopped making it. its not about whteher or not it gets inventory's approval or endorsement, for example wearing persol sunglasses won't make you as stylish as steve mcqueen, he was cool, not the sunglasses.
