Mark McNairy Gibson Shoe

01

Images

—01. Made in England.

Words

Another suede shoe on another Vibram sole - another great looking piece of footwear. The red brick sole might be the trademark of Mark McNairy, but it's not an ideal choice for the winter. These still have a clean upper, tidy welt and feature a great looking suede while offering a little more toughness with the thicker, more dense sole unit.

Horrible!---this style of shoe is becoming a bit of a tedious cliche.

Can't agree more. Chunky wedge soles look stupid on brogues/ gibsons.

Do you wear this to the job site, hiking, office, weekend, shopping? it's ugly and serve no purpose.

really nice
but to be honest i'd rather add more money to buy a pair of tricker's (quality is higher from sanders for me) with a vibram midsole.
The new The Bureau make up on differents models f or example is just perfect.

They look like a shitty knockoff of the Viberg 145's that you carry.

Slightly suprised at the vitriolic response above. Personally I don't mind the style, though the colour combination does nothing for me (especially white soles in Winter, that'll last about ten minutes). No doubt though that McNairy has seriously over-exposed himself on this kind of product, so a degree of backlash is inevitable. Show me something new please...

Nah I feel like this is the exact response warranted to this ugly and overhyped style of sole. It's really the opposite of the "classic, timeless" style that is the basis of this trend. These look like nursing shoes or some kind of orthopedic that people wouldn't wear otherwise except that it's a uniform requirement or one of their legs is shorter than the other.

when you see timeless boots with that vibram midsole
you just can't say that
