Am I the only one to think it's annoying to have stuff proxied : double shipping plus fees on an already expensive high yen priced product, double shipping time, and the inability to return the product unless you double ship it back etc...

No, agree with you. Should be possible to order directly from more Japanese websites soon. Would be good for both parts.

Curious use of Gore-Tex (what's in the bag that needs to breathe?). The idea seems to point to an increasing acceptance and valuation of the fabric itself as a bearer of quality. I remember when you were made fun of for wearing it.
