I’m certainly no stranger to vintage-inspired baseball caps and have come to really appreciate the traditional use of a leather sweatband. This is most commonly found on fitted options made from wool, but it's great to see the same touch applied to a cotton hat so perfectly suited to summer.

I find it very hard to resist an immaculate USN reference like this. The logo is extremely unique and the hat itself features all the right historical details, almost nullifying the steep price for a piece of headwear. Although maybe this only applies to those of us attracted to mid-century American Navy items.

The caps that are resurrected from history are usually of the professional variety, not the uniforms of military teams. This, however, is a remake of a 1922 US Marine Corps baseball team cap, and would definitely make for a unique addition to a hat rack flooded with baseball teams that actually got paid to play.
