I first became aware of Mourne Textiles through the Margaret Howell website. Their beautiful wool products have been available from the brand's shops in the UK, Europe and Japan for some time, but have now been picked up by Kaufmann Mercantile, making them easier for those of us in North America to get our hands on. The online store has merino wool pillows and throws in a selection of textured tweed knits, neutral enough to work seamlessly with any and all decor.

A wallet seems to be one of those personal items that deserves the extra investment, considering it is an integral element of daily life for most people – almost always being carried on one’s person and organizing the most important tools we interact with: our methods of payment. Try leaving your wallet at home and see how far you get. If I had to choose one basic bifold wallet, it would probably have to be this version from Postalco. The goatskin leather has a nice pebbled texture, not to mention its exceptional durability. Now I just have to bite the bullet and shell out the cash to carry it, seeing as I am in need of an upgrade anyway.

Jadeite milk glass is highly collectible, fetching high prices for good vintage examples. These versions have been made by Mosser Glass in Ohio and are hand-pressed in original Cambridge glass moulds. Much like vintage reproductions in clothing, this is the equivalent for your kitchen; a little piece of mid-century Americana made brand new.
