Following on from an impressive 2014 model, the latest Nike Air Max shoe features Flywire, Nike+ and a seamless mesh upper. The black and white version, which includes a blacked out air bubble, has a minimal look with more underfoot cushioning than ever before.

Words

Nike's relaunch of the ACG collection has been much anticipated, but I was a little skeptical when I first heard the news. It would have been easy to simply reproduce old styles and colourways in updated fabrics. However, by enlisting Errolson Hugh they've been able to push the collection forwards. The latest rendition of ACG appears to be an exciting step in the right direction, finding a balance between style and functionality which was always at the brand's core. The footwear is well done, but it's the outerwear and tops that are the most enticing.

Words

Nike continue to push the Huarache and the most recent release comes in two tonal options – the grey version being my choice. The mix of synthetic and suede, with the white sole make this simple make-up a very strong one.

Nike Gyakusou Holiday '14 Collection

Words

While I always look forward to seeing each new Gyakusou collection, I feel that the Nike Running range has closed the gap in the past couple of seasons. For Holiday '14, however, Jun Takahashi's performance collaboration has evolved to the next level. The Utility Long Tights are the standout item, creating a single bottom layer that functions as two. This sort of growth in product design and experimenting, combined with the increasingly technical fabrics, makes for an especially exciting collection.

When it comes to performance wear, it's tough to beat Nike, especially in the running arena. Their products, from gloves and hats to tights and footwear, all lead the market in terms of design aesthetic, comfort and functionality. This fall we got to select a few items from the latest offering and test them in Vancouver on a brisk early morning.

Review: Nike Zoom Pegasus 31

Words

I've been running exclusively in the Nike Flyknit Racer for the past year and a half. When it comes to road running, I've never found a better shoe and I still don't really expect to. However, they are extremely minimal and sometimes I feel like a more stable, cushioned ride would be nice, so I decided to try out the latest edition of the Zoom Pegasus. I thought it was one of the best versions of the shoe recently and I was pleasantly surprised. Even with the added bulk, they felt lightweight, and not overly 'soft' – something the Lunar 1 and 2 have grown to feel after running on the Racer. The silhouette looks and feels well-balanced on foot, and I felt quite quick in my stride. While I'm still a big fan of the Lunar sole, I think that the Zoom is a better option for anything over 10km.

Nike Zoom Terra Kiger 2

Words

Nike's recent foray into trail running product has been limited but successful. Having tried out the Free Hyperfeel Run Trail, I've mainly been using the Terra Kiger, but both are good for different types of terrain. This fall sees the release of the Terra Kiger 2, and the updated silhouette, fabrics, and colour options are all just right. I'm pretty anxious to put a few more kilometers into my current trail runners so that I can upgrade to the second edition sooner rather than later.
