Nike Lunar Force 1 '14

Words

After missing out on the first release of Nike's Lunar Force 1, I've frequently been checking eBay for a pair in my size, but to no avail. Fortunately the latest version of the shoe might be even better. While I'm not 100% sold on the translucent sole, I much prefer the classic full leather upper.

Words

To commemorate the tenth anniversary of Nike Free, as well as the shoes that influenced the groundbreaking concept, the 'Genealogy' pack was unveiled earlier this year. Taking that campaign a step further, the brand have now released a selection of the same styles with black uppers, including this Free OG model with a speckled grey sole – a detail that's always hard to resist.

You may have thought Nike had already done enough with a variety of interesting products and events to generate press leading up to the World Cup. However, yesterday they announced today's release of the Nike Free Mercurial Superfly HTM as the cherry on top. Writer Gary Warnett has produced an article for 032c outlining the project and the launch of NikeLab, complimented by an interview with Nike CEO, Mark Parker.

Nike Lunar Fly 306

Words

The Nike Lunar Fly 306 debuted last season in three rather vibrant colours. While I've been on the fence about the large type placement and velcro straps, it was mainly the colourways that were holding me back. Two of the four Spring-Summer '14 options, however, are much more appealing, especially the black version pictured here.

Nike Air Max 98 OG

Words

The welcome trend of Nike reissuing styles from the '90s makes it really easy to pick up that pair of shoes you may have owned or missed owning in the past. While they might not be to everyone's taste, I'm excited to see this re-release of the cult classic Air Max 98. The exposed air bag makes them very attractive and they'd look great with jeans and a T-shirt.

Nike Gyakusou Spring-Summer '14

Words

The spring collection from Jun Takahashi's Gyakusou collaboration with Nike seemed to receive a little less hype than usual this season, however it was still full of great technical running pieces. Subtle in design and more muted in colour, the focused offering included a series of 'Sweat Map' tops, lightweight shorts, and various versions of the updated Lunarspeed AXL.

Words

Nike's iconic Air Huarache has received a muted grey on grey treatment this spring. Featuring a light coloured suede and a mix of synthetic materials, the shoe looks quite different to its traditionally colourful ancestors, creating a more contemporary aesthetic.

Nike NSW Tiempo 94

Words

The Tiempo has always been my favourite football shoe by Nike. Released as a part of the brand's build-up to the World Cup in Brazil later this year, the classic black leather and white Swoosh on this updated model are nicely offset by a gum sole.
