As part of 356 Mission's Summer Screenings Series LA-based artist Oliver Payne presents the latest installment of his ongoing Safe Crackers project: a night of trip-hop, krautrock and science fiction. A seemingly random yet perfect mix of all things futuristic, the first of the aptly titled Future Days events takes place tonight, Thursday June 18th, and will feature a screening of the 1972 film Silent Running followed by a DJ set by Eli Diner and Oliver himself.

C.F. – Mere

01. A collection of previously sold out zines.

While not one of the major names to break out of the Providence art or noise scene, C.F. has quietly been amassing praise from a wide spectrum of art lovers. Since my childhood attendance of the Last Gasp warehouse parties, I have been constantly on the lookout for the most bizarre comics available, and C.F.'s disorienting cyber crime aesthetic fits the bill perfectly. Originally a series of zines, the long out-of-print comics are collected here for the first time.

In 2008, artist Brendan Fowler turned the camera on himself, documenting his own process of art making. A lot of art is of course beautiful in itself, but sometimes it takes seeing the terms of its creation to fully appreciate it.
