Info

Softcover, 48 pages

Published by Ordinary Books, 2015

Words

Jason Nocito and Daniel Shea released a joint photo zine in the fall, designed by Camilla Venturini and published by Ordinary Books in a highly limited run of 500 copies. The 48-page volume consists of unattributed images of downtown Los Angeles and New York, leaving the viewer to guess who shot what. If you enjoy the blissfully laid-back style of either of these artists, treat yourself to a copy now before they're all gone.

Words

Jason Nocito’s personal work is some of the photography I relate to the most, initially being exposed to him through his connection as a former Vancouver resident. Pud II, designed by Ari Marcopoulos and Camilla Venturini of Ordinary Books, is a companion to Nocito's first release in this series, which will eventually form a trilogy. Built around the same large format photos of multicoloured NYC puddles in all their trash-filled glory, the second volume is also interspersed with supporting imagery that often comes off stoned, sometimes voyeuristic, and completely idiosyncratic.
