"For over a year Juergen Teller kept a weekly column in Germanys highly respected Die Zeit newspaper. Each week accompanying one of his images with an explanatory text, the column was a controversial addition to the historic publication. Pictures and Text collects these autobiographical musings together for the first time, and also comes with a separate booklet of complaint letters that Die Ziet received whilst Teller was contributing".

Wolfgang Tillmans Neue Welt

Words

One of my favourite books to be released in 2012, Wolfgang Tillmans' Neue Welt from Taschen features new work shot over the past several years. The book features a broader look at the world from Tillmans – from London and Tierra del Fuego, to Tasmania, Saudi Arabia and Papua New Guinea – in comparison to the self-reflexisve nature of a lot of his earlier output. The artist himself describes his travels as "aimless as such, not looking for predetermined results, but hoping to find subject matter that in some way or other speaks about the time I'm in.”

Ari Marcopoulos - Out To Lunch

01

Image

—01. Front Cover.

Words

Without doubt one of the most ambitious publishing projects I've seen for a while, Out To Lunch is a new book from Ari Marcopoulos. Featuring the earliest and most recent of the photographers work, the book presents this body in various forms: black and white images, high-gloss contact sheets, vinyl stickers, glossy pull-out posters, and a screenplay written together with his son Cairo. All of which has been bound together with black binder’s gauze and housed in an illustrated plastic bag. The limited edition of 350 is certainly not cheap, but for fans of Marcopoulos' work, it's a tempting prospect that might just be worth breaking the bank for.

Available from PPP Editions.

Words

Sam Falls' first show in Italy will be running until the end of December at the Luce Gallery in Turin. If you happen to be in the city, it looks well worth a viewing and if not, their website offers a nice look at the pieces featured in the show. As usual the artist explores structure, form and colour through a mixture of photography, painting and sculpture.
