01. Foreword by Kim Gordon, afterword by Natasha Lyonne.

Words

The photo book, Chloë Sevigny, has just been released by the much revered Rizzoli publishing house. This hardcover volume features photos of everyone’s favourite It girl throughout the sartorial arc of her career, starting in the ‘90s when she epitomized the downtown NYC skater girl look, right through to her current iteration of trendsetting: high fashion Hollywood actress. "The book includes early personal photos of Chloë taken by her high school friends; film stills; modeling appearances for brands such as Miu Miu and Chloé; magazine editorials for Purple, i-D, and The Face by top photographers such as Mark Borthwick, Terry Richardson, and Juergen Teller; and homages by artists such as Elizabeth Peyton and Karen Kilimnik. Additionally, Sevigny shares some of her treasured personal memorabilia, such as casting fliers, Polaroids, zines, and pages from her day planners.” Chloë Sevigny is a must for die-hard fans and those with an interest in contemporary fashion, alike.

The Agony and the Ecstasy of Kanye West

As part of T Magazine's Culture Issue, Jon Carmanica had the opportunity to speak with Kanye West about the past few months and his direction for the future. For me personally, as a longstanding fan, the article shed an interesting light on his current attitude towards life and work. We all reach certain points which feel more significant than others, and it seems that now could be one of those times for Kanye. If the apparent combined culmination of education and maturity align, then one would only assume his output is likely to rise to exciting new heights.

Noon is a new UK-based biannual publication from Editor-in-Chief Jasmine Raznaham with creative direction by ARPA. It has "a strong art and fashion bias, with a focus on contemporary critical text." The first issue features a beautifully printed large format with contributions from a variety of well-known figures including Wolfgang Tillmans, Max Farago, Michael Wolf, Tao Lin, Juergen Teller and Marcelo Gomes, to name a few. In an increasingly saturated print market, Noon is one of the nicest publications to come out recently. Its high-quality printing, mix of content and overall design give it a look and feel that most publications can only strive to achieve.

Words

"For over a year Juergen Teller kept a weekly column in Germanys highly respected Die Zeit newspaper. Each week accompanying one of his images with an explanatory text, the column was a controversial addition to the historic publication. Pictures and Text collects these autobiographical musings together for the first time, and also comes with a separate booklet of complaint letters that Die Ziet received whilst Teller was contributing".
