The subject of an excellent interview in our 8th issue by Amelia Stein, with accompanying imagery by Marcelo Gomes, the photographer Leslie Hewitt currently has her first solo show with the gallery Sikkema Jenkins & Co. Hewitt's work uses the language of photography to explore social and political ideas in the form of memory, and the displacement of both time and location. In doing so Leslie's captivating imagery provides an interesting commentary on the things that affect and influence us, and the ways in which we remember them.
