SNS Herning have become well-known for their heavy, warm knitwear. More recently they've added some new products to their range. The Trope sweater offers a lighter weight and features a subtle melange pattern.

SNS Herning Burgundy Fisherman

Info

—01. The Fisherman.

Words

There are some brands that you can usually count on to find in the sales. One of the best seems to be SNS Herning. The knitwear brand still makes some of my favorite simple pieces, and right now you can get their classic Fisherman in a lovely burgundy wool for a great price.

Words

I've always wanted to have the SNS Herning NAVAL sweater in a plain color. This fall the piece is available in some classic versions sans stripes. This is a great shade of blue and the silver buttons look perfect on the shoulder.

In Stock: SNS Herning TAG Sweater

SNS Herning TAG We received our spring order from SNS Herning pretty early in the season so we decided to keep a couple styles 'on ice' for when the weather seemed to be just perfect and the timing was nice. The latest item to hit the floor is the TAG crewneck sweater. It comes in both the olde blue and a really nice cream. The merino wool is really soft and does a great job on it's own or over a shirt to keep you at the right temperature. They fit pretty slim through the body and arms but have plenty of length for a nice trim look. — Available at the Inventory Stockroom, $240

S.N.S. Herning START Cardigan

sns-start-cardigan I've made note recently of a few S.N.S. Herning pieces and it can be attributed to a few things. I recently received a couple sweaters from them, we have an article about them on it's way and it's fall. Now that we're in October its definitely time for the knitwear to come out and the layers to begin to pile up. S.N.S. Herning make some of my favorite pieces when it comes to wool sweaters. I never find the wool too itchy and the fit is very comfortable. The authentic pieces from 1931 and the pieces from 2009 fit seamlessly together and offer a great reference to the sea in a product that works everywhere. The START cardigan is not one of the knits I picked up, but it was one that was high on my list. The pattern in the sweater is nicely contrasted by the ribbed waist band and the metal buttons. The olive version at END is a really good alternative to the classic navy as well.

Engineered Garments WA Field Jacket

engineered-garments-wa-field-jacket-1The Bureau might be my favorite store these days, at least I know they are getting a fair share of my earnings lately. Their selection of Engineered Garments, Margaret Howell, S.N.S. and Gitman Vintage is right up my alley - and there are several other items and brands that could have made that list twice as long. One of the EG items they recently received caught my eye as I haven't seen it elsewhere this fall. The WA Field Jacket is a really ideal version of the classic military M-65 coat. The navy wool serge works really well with the cut and is a great weight for the piece. I picked up the Baker in the navy wool serge and OP has the WA Field Jacket from spring, so I can imagine the two combining for a really classic and easy to wear jacket. The lack of epaulets and addition of the button across neck is just the right combination to keep the jacket subtle and useful. I'll definitely be chalking this up on the list of things I'd love to have and wear but just can't pick up this season.
