Nigel Cabourn is an acknowledged expert at taking the hardwearing details of military and naval wear and turning them into something timeless that will last long enough to be inherited by generations to come. It's hard to beat the companies manufacturing their product in Maine, as far as deck shoes go, but my choice would have to be this Paraboot model, handmade in Spain. The rugged lug sole adds a nice touch and keeps them well-suited to the outdoors, but otherwise all of the remaining details are true to the US-produced originals.

Tender Sunglasses

One defining quality of the British brand Tender is their insistence on utilizing materials found in the natural world. Whether it's their woad or chlorophyll dyed garments, or these sunglasses which are fashioned out of cellulose acetate from cotton pulp, the connection to nature is attractive and proves an interesting detail amongst a sea of similarity. Moreover they are simple and understated, and a pair of sunglasses I'd want to wear.

I'm sure this is a pair of pants that may not be for everyone, but I definitely have a vacancy in my closet for some wider wale cords in this classic beige colour. They feature all the styling cues of the quintessential design as well as a series of updated details, including snap closure back pockets, taped hems, a zippered pocket in the side seam, and a shorter, modern cut.
