Yuketen's new Fall-Winter collection has slowly been hitting selected retailers worldwide and with the most diverse selection to date, we had the pleasure to sit down with Yuki to discuss their latest collaborations, styles, and inspirations.

In the last couple months Hypebeast's Eugene Kan has put together a couple nice interviews with Ian Paley and Yuki Matsuda. For those who've picked up a copy of Inventory magazine, you might be familiar with Yuketen and it's designer - either way the interview is worth the read and the photos are worth a look. Yuketen is one of the most unique brands I've ever come across. The passion and care involved in the product is really special to see and to hear Yuki and Ryan speak about. With a focus on old methods of hand-sewing and production and a forward thinking approach to design, Yuketen has become a world class leader with their footwear while growing a strong soft goods collection in Monitaly. We're especially excited to work with Yuketen as a shop this spring. Our first order should be ready around the end of February/early March in the Inventory Stockroom. — Yuketen Interview

Monitaly Moc Pad Boots

While Monitaly is more known for their soft goods and outerwear, the Meg Company brand also produces a few pairs of shoes and boots, some of which aren't featured on the website. While designer Yuki Matsuda's footwear focus seems to be with Yuketen, I can't deny how well some of these more obscure models have come out. The moc pad boots definitely remind me of the classic 6" Timberland, but which a nice moc toe, one of Yuki's favorite Vibram soles and a soft leather suede, they definitely feel more refined and more likely to be worn by myself. These ones are available at the United Arrows online store and run up to a 9.5, so they aren't a complete tease. —

INVENTORY Volume 01 Number 01 Covers

With our inaugural printed issue around the corner, the covers for Number 01 were unveiled earlier today. We are very excited to present the project later this week and are still holding our breath that it all comes back from the printers in good form. Since we are publishing bi-annually, we decided to print two different covers each issue. Our first offering includes some of our favorite designers and products from around the world, needless to say the cover images were not the easiest choices to make. We took the time to visit each person in their own studio this issue and the imagery shows the personal approach. The covers were both photographed by Ken Tisuthiwongse and feature Christophe Loiron and Yuki Matsuda. The Christophe Loiron will actually be slightly more rare and will be available at Self Edge and the Inventory Stockroom.
