The A.R.P project from Umbro is the latest development in their now long-standing relationship with the designer Aitor Throup. Having worked with the brand on previous incarnations of the England national kit, the former Stone Island and CP Company designer has delved into the deep archive Umbro possess to rework and re-imagine classic pieces from the brands past. Taking famous and notable styles from previous decades - the 1966 Jacket as worn by Alf Ramsey, the classic Drill Top and pant, the Barcelona Short, and the 1960's Aztec Jersey to name a few - Throup has re-worked these heritage designs into modern, highly technical pieces. The colour palette on all the designs offers a nice muted take on the typical bright colours of classic Sportswear; helping to make these modified classics that much easier to fit into both an active and casual ensemble.
