A beautiful pair of simple sneakers from Visvim, the Foley Folk comes in a light coloured beige suede atop a gum sole. It's one of my favourite renditions of one of their best models.

I don't think that there will ever be a time when I can justify purchasing something from Visvim at good ol' retail. It's just not going to happen. Looking usually works enough for me.

domestic retail is reasonable, but still on the expensive side, buying from oversea's stores is where the prices become ridiculous.. these are probably around 400-450 usd if you bought them from FIL in Japan. My virgil's were 620 USD in Tokyo, but 1,1000 from union los angeles... overseas vendors markup a lot.. visvim is expensive for sure, but not like you'd expect.
