Words

Speaking strictly on the footwear, Visvim's latest offering isn't my favorite. They've moved some of the production to Japan which has resulted in higher prices, along with said higher quality - however beyond the pricing and country of origin, I personally prefer some of the older models more. Looking at the Yucca Moc, I would say the Hockney Folk and Americana Deck were both a little cleaner. The new chukka model looks nice however and uses some great fabrics and colors. All in all, its a solid handful of models from an extensive range, and I still wouldn't mind wearing them.

Visvim: the emperor's new shoes...

So the price went up when they stopped producing these in Japan, and now it's going up again because they switched it back? I'm sick of seeing these things as selling points when they should really be a given considering the price.

Visvim prices are artificial as you can find equaly or better produced items for much cheaper.

You pay for a supposed ingenuity in the design and exclusivity.

There is nothing in a visvim catalog that I find particularly inovative. Especially on the clothing side. They think they invented gore tex or horween leather.

Haha, couldn't put it better 'sorrybut'. There are some visvim items that I am drawn to because of a small tweak here or there, but these and most of their items have retarded prices

I think wal-mart mocs look better than these, at least this time around
