this looks nice. the japanese canvas is the last of the well made canvas. you can really see and feel the difference. all the rest is terrible chinese or india made junk. wish we still had u.s. made canvas. i can't understand why we stopped making canvas here it seems like such a desired textile.

harold, there is still very very nice cotton duck/canvas made in the US and Europe right now. Japanese duck is usually nice as they often use larger threads but I have come by beautiful stuff in Europe too. It is just not used in fashion as much as in Japan but the specs are on par in many cases. It is mostly used by trad hunting gear companies.

are you sure about that?, i have researched the extensively but i would love if you could let me know who makes canvas in the us anymore. i looked for about 6 months and found nothing except india made or china made and at best us dyed. please enlighten me!!! i would be so happy to be wrong
anyways it was all crap
