Yuketen Fall–Winter

01

Images

—01. Maine, USA.

Words

Yuketen have just updated their website with the fall collection and a handful of images from the lookbook. The photographs capture the beauty that is Maine in the winter. Yuki and Ryan make the trip each season to shoot their lookbook in the wilderness, showing the Yuketen products in the environment they're made for. Now also featuring fall garments from Monitaly, my only complaint is that there aren't more of the shots on their website.

That looks incredibly fake and uninspiring. Leave it to the pros Yuketen.

Who are the pros?

Just got myself some Maine boots in brown from Tres bien. I'd like to know more about their outdoor credentials. Waterproof, snowproof? Would have asked in the shop but got them mail order.

I'm in Denmark so it's not exactly Alaskan climes but the snow can hit hard.

Leather is naturally waterproof. THe vibram sole should keep your feet dry in any type of snowy urban/ city activities.

If you plan on wearing those in the great outdoors, (which I doubt), with extreme snow conditions, they should perform but are not your best option since modern footwear offer more protection for money.

never dry leather boots fast in front of a fire, you'll wreck them. beginners mistake. . .
