—01. Available in two prints
—02. Blue paisley bandana.
The Real McCoy's don't slack when it comes to accessories. Although their heavyweight sweatshirts and outerwear are arguably their best pieces, their bags, gloves, caps and bandanas are also great. We recently received these Joe McCoy bandanas featuring a red truck pattern and a blue paisley motif. The fast color cotton accessories are a nice touch and an easy item to pick up for $25.
—01. Shooting A Lasting Impression.
One of the trials of shooting editorials outside and out of season is that the weather and your surroundings can easily affect the integrity of the outcome. You don't always have the luxury of a perfect location, but that doesn't mean you can't be aware of what's around you and use light and background intelligently. James took this photograph while we were shooting A Lasting Impression for Issue 03. It gives you an idea of what we were up against, and hopefully how well our eventual story disguised the fact.—Inventory Issue 03
The sales are definitely on and in full force in most shops around the world. On one hand, I don't like to see it, and definitely not too early as it hurts the industry, the brands and the retailers. On the other hand, I am a consumer and it is great to get a good deal. Lots of shops have heavily discounted merchandise, but Present has some of the best items in decent size runs that I've seen. These are a couple of items I've been eying up this fall, but there are many more to be found.
—01. Fatigue Shorts and Work Shirt.
—02. Various looks from the collection.
Engineered Garments' Spring-Summer '11 lookbook has just been added to their website. Built on a foundation of familiar classics, the collection is defined by its carefully chosen group of fabrics - pattern and texture playing a central role in the overall aesthetic. While it's only ever possible to highlight a fraction of the options available, EG do a great job with their lookbooks and this season is no exception. Follow the link below for a more detailed sense of things to come.
—01. Olive N-3 Utility Shirt.
—02. 80 count yarn.
—03. USN stamp.
Talking about The Real McCoy's brand in the shop today, I realized part of the reason that I like the garments so much, which I hadn't really thought about before. While the artificial aging and breaking-in can look interesting, I think that the way The Real McCoy's produce their garments new, and as they were originally issued, it allows a much nicer natural feeling to the goods. While this shirt might not showcase the finest patina specifically, it is a nice looking shirt, and it just arrived at Superdenim.
—01. One day sale, in-store and by phone order only.
Inventory Stockroom has never put products on sale before, and we don't plan on making a habit of it. However, it's a tradition in Canada to have a Boxing Day sale so we've decided to join in for one day. On December 26th, almost everything will be 20% off, with some items up to 40% off (excluding magazines, books and Inverallan knit caps). The sale will be in-store and by phone order only, and will not apply to online purchases. There are limited styles and sizes left at this stage of the season, so it might be your last chance to snag that item you've been eyeing up before it disappears.
