One thing I've been looking for since day one in Tokyo is a 'perfect' hip pouch. While it might be a stretch to expect perfection, it has been tough to find something that's the right size, right fabric, right color, has good straps and fits what I need. So far I think the Arc'teryx option, all the way from our backyard, is leading the race. I enjoy the companies use of color in Veilance and the mainline, so its no surprise to see some playful combinations on the Maka 2.

My friend put me on to GOOD OL', a great Japanese brand that had its inception around four years ago. They are making some great products and these hand printed silk scarves are just an example of the quality goods they are producing. We live in the mountains, it's always been an important aspect of my lifestyle and I am definitely a product of my environment. Maybe that's why when I come across this 60's 70's referenced ski jacket, I connect to it more strongly than other people. It's a traditional jacket with its large patch pockets, nylon material, and metal snap buttons. Beams does a great job of mixing vintage styles with a contemporary fit without ruining a classic.

Again Margiela offers a fantastic range of knitwear, including some especially expensive and nice headwear. Their knit caps are definitely a few dollars more than your average, but they are rather nice, and I find they hold their shape really nicely over a few years of wear.
