Issue 04

—01. Hard in the paint.

From the paper to the plates to the pigmentation, printing a publication is a pretty portly process. We've spent a significant amount of time at the printers in the last few years on press check, an interesting and enlightening experience that not too many people get to see. This time around we shot some footage and made this little behind the scenes video of the printing of Issue 04. Printed at Hemlock Printers in Vancouver, B.C., Canada.

Press check is the best, and the worst.

Equal parts frustrating & enlightening

I guess inventory's style only goes as far as clothing. Cause god knows that music selection was terrible, as is Willms beat up Honda Civic.

I actually work in the print industry and see/hear presses/machines like the ones above every single day. I think part of the magic is the sound the machine makes and it's a little unfortunate you edited that out. But yea, Hemlock Press, I hear they do good work.
