Words

By now I'm sure everyone has read most of their way through our latest issue of Inventory. Luckily we've got some new reading and viewing material just in time. The latest issue of Apartamento just landed in Vancouver, along with 2nd and Monocle. The everyday interiors magazine is especially nice to look at and read through, featuring Bruce Benderson, Masha Orlov, Zoe Bedeaux, Kenny Scharf, Ola Rindal, Juergen Teller and an everyday food supplement.

Unfortunately the new edition of Inventory isn't that awesome. What's with the re-hashed Rolex articles and arty photo shoots where you can't even see the clothes? It's all well and good making it to issue 4 but I hope issue 5 is more interesting. There's more to read in the latest Free & Easy and that's in Japanese. Easy to criticise I know, but it's very expensive at £16 when you consider Men's File is a fiver.

Agreed that the arty stuff doesn't really match the idea I had of inventory mag.

I realise that there's a lot of work put into the last issue and the quality of the content is impecable. I still enjoyed reading it. But the thing is : there are already dozens of fashion mags with concept photo shoot out there. Why can't we get at least one english lenguage product oriented mag that actually shows and talks about products without the arty gimicks... Inventory issue 1 was all about the craft and pushing an authentic, long lasting trend through factory tours and natural settings photoshoot. Why would you change such a perfect formula ?
