The magazine headed for the Tuscan resort of Pietrasanta, and launched a stylish temporary retail space in the courtyard of menswear store last weekend. Open for two weeks only, it stocks a beautifully curated and sun inspired mix of Monocle branded beachwear, accessories, cd’s, luggage, stationery, prints and music.

I purchased this Boston bag a little over two years ago, and I think it's been with me on every trip since. The size is perfect to carry on, it's big enough for almost a week's worth of clothes, with some edited packing, and it comes with a nice variety of useful small bags inside. It's easy enough to carry, and considering how much I've used it, it doesn't look more than a month or two old, which bodes well for the long run.

It's surprisingly taken Monocle a little while to open their New York shop front. I know it's been in the works for months and after nearly taking up residence in mid-town, I think Monocle made the right choice with the West Villge. Now taking up 188 square feet at 535 Hudson Street, Monocle has its first east coast outlet for their special collaborations, printed pieces and of course the magazine.

Gitman Bros. have quickly been adding to their list of collaborators in the last couple seasons and the latest to join the ranks is one of my favorite magazines, Monocle. Of course, they aren’t the first publication to work with Gitman, but they have produced Gitman’s first pop over BD shirt in the process. The shirts come in navy, white and blue and offer the first ‘new’ Gitman shirt since the brand’s recent insurgence in menswear.
