Toronto-based retailer Working Title have just relaunched their website with a selection of Fall-Winter '14 items from A.P.C., Engineered Garments, Our Legacy and Gosha Rubchinskiy, to name a few. The site is a nice improvement, utilizing photographer Seth Fluker to give the imagery an unexpected texture. Besides clothing, footwear and accessories, they also stock an interesting variety of printed matter, including publications from Wolfgang Tillmans, Jason Nocito, Nicholas Gottlund and Libraryman.

Directed by Grant Curatola and Louis Levy, written by the latter, and styled by Anthony Unwin, the latest short film to accompany the Louis W. for A.P.C. collection takes inspiration from Jean-Pierre Léaud's audition for Truffaut’s The 400 Blows. Succinct yet highly impactful, the film introduces Bruno Di Corcia, while showcasing the Fall-Winter '14 offering.

A.P.C. by Louis W. Fall-Winter '14

Words

I'll be honest, when the Louis W. line from A.P.C. started showing up, I wasn't exactly sure what the deal was. Who was Louis W.? Why were the jackets so expensive? Well, it turned out the former was an eight-year employee of the A.P.C. design team, and the latter was because they're leather jackets, and leather jackets – good ones – are almost always expensive. While I can't ever really imagine myself in a traditional leather piece, I am a fan of the classic suede bomber style, and appreciate concise, well executed collections. I also like the family feel Jean has created in letting this collaboration come to light, and allowing a new voice to shine from within his company. You can view the Fall–Winter '14 collection from Louis W. by following the link below.

Words

This spring, A.P.C. continue to let their head menswear designer, Louis W., explore his own luxury outerwear direction within the brand's offering. The slimmed down Ferris Jacket is available in two colour options, and the fit and feel of the suede bomber are very impressive in person.

Words

Featuring clean details, a classic cut and deerskin suede, this bomber fits perfectly into the A.P.C. collection. The small range of jackets created by Louis W. come with a higher price point, but the premium materials and simplicity of the pieces work well in tandem to create a great looking take on the iconic bomber style.

Words

Made from 100% camel hair, these ribbed wool hats are a winter essential. There are plenty of options out there, but the size and fit of these appear to be just right. The hat was made in a handful of colours this season, but black and camel are the best of the options.
