This fall A.P.C. has worked alongside four musicians to create a special range of T-shirts. The French brand has long been involved in music, going so far as to install a recording studio in their Paris headquarters back in 1998. The small collection features artwork which ties into a particular recording from each artist. My favourite corresponds to Contrepoint by Nicholas Godin, but the other three by Étienne Daho, Flavien Berger, and Paradis aren't bad either.

In addition to the beautiful garments, another highlight of A.P.C.'s Louis W. project is the promotion. Each season a unique and interesting film has been created featuring items from the latest collection. The Fall-Winter '15 narrative, starring Sasha Frolova, Zaga Skerletovic and Bruno Dicorcia, was written and directed by Grant Curatola and Louis Levy. Entitled Comfort, it mixes influences from Single White Female and Fatal Attraction with a more lighthearted love between the two main characters, reminiscent of Truffaut’s Jules and Jim.

A.P.C. recently released two short videos, featuring Adrien Sahores and Vivien Solari, to coincide with the launch of their men's and women's winter collections. Shot in black and white by Collier Schorr, the stark imagery has a timeless, Godard-inspired feel, while the role of the telephone adds an element of mystery.

Designed by architectural firm Laurent Deroo Architecte, A.P.C. continue their invasion of Los Angeles with their latest store opening. Centrally located on the growing Sunset Boulevard strip in Silver Lake, the panoramic bay window provides plenty of light to compliment simple merchandising and pieces of monolithic oak furniture stood on a clear concrete floor.

After opening one of the brand's most beautiful flagship stores on Melrose Place in Los Angeles, A.P.C. continues to expand on the West Coast. The French label's latest shop is located in the heart of the historical downtown district, built in two identical, adjacent cubic spaces. The two areas partially meet, however there are a pair central totems creating a division between the men’s and women’s collections.

Louis W.'s Spring-Summer collection features a little more colour than we're used to, and while still sparse, it's a nice addition to the premium outerwear line. Mixing a variety of fabrics and introducing some subtle changes, the pieces continue to evolve and add an elevated aspect to the overall A.P.C. offering.

Toronto-based retailer Working Title have just relaunched their website with a selection of Fall-Winter '14 items from A.P.C., Engineered Garments, Our Legacy and Gosha Rubchinskiy, to name a few. The site is a nice improvement, utilizing photographer Seth Fluker to give the imagery an unexpected texture. Besides clothing, footwear and accessories, they also stock an interesting variety of printed matter, including publications from Wolfgang Tillmans, Jason Nocito, Nicholas Gottlund and Libraryman.
