Received as part of Neighbour's first delivery from the latest Lemaire collection, this shirt-cum-jacket has all the hallmarks of a warm weather favourite. Lightweight with a boxy fit, it features Levi's-esque pleats parallel to the placket, three patch pockets, an arafold collar, and a split seam hem. This looks like a lot on paper, but these details are absorbed into the pattern perfectly and the outcome feels unique yet balanced – attributes consistently found in the French label's understated designs.

Takazawa Candle at Neighbour

Neighbour has recently received what might amount to one of the more interesting stocking stuffers for someone that has everything. The Japanese company, Takazawa, produces plant wax candles which utilize a wick made by wrapping a dried reed around a rice paper cylinder. This is said to create a large and luminous flame, with minimal smoke, due to its ability to draw air up the hollow shaft, which sounds like a great alternative to having to light more candles. What sold me though, and what the recipient will surely see when tearing off the wrapping paper, is the wacky and beautiful packaging.

Completely handmade in Tokyo from heavyweight melton wool, the cupro-lined pants strike an appealing balance between winter warmth and understated luxury.

Neighbour has just received this season’s hat styles from the New York-based brand Paa. The best thing about their headwear is how effortlessly they produce classic baseball cap designs with a unique and interesting twist. Nearly all of their hats feature some element of refinement and in this instance they’ve taken a simple 6-panel snapback and rendered it in a boucle wool blend, which adds a welcome visual and physical texture.

This unique piece from 1205 evokes feelings of a classic C.P.O. shirt, while simultaneously nodding to the recognizable rounded placket shape of a blazer. Made in Italy from wool, cotton and nylon, the fit is modern yet boxy enough to accommodate cold weather layering. But what really grabs me is the construction of the casual, wide set collar.
