Featured Items

—01. City Rain Jacket.
—02. City Riding Trousers.

Words

Rapha has just released a two-part editorial on their website produced by Neil Bedford and Stephen Mann. Featuring items from their City Riding collection, the clean styling and strong tones look very nice, providing just the right amount of colour and more than enough functionality.

Words

From this Friday at East London's J+A Café, in conjunction with Metro Imaging, Neil Bedford will have a small selection of recent editorial work on show. The majority of that of work was produced for Inventory and the images featured will be for sale, each one printed in an edition of five. The show is on until the end of the year and since Neil's work is always a highlight of our issues, the opportunity to see it on a larger scale is one that shouldn't be missed if you're in London.

Neil Bedford

Words

Not only is Neil Bedford an extremely talented photographer, he's also a pleasure to work with. We're lucky enough to have counted him among our contributors since Issue 02, and I'm proud of the work we've done together. Often challenging, and always incredibly well executed, I feel strongly that his editorials, usually produced with Stephen Mann, are an essential part of our magazine. These images go some way to illustrating that point, but for an insight into his work beyond Inventory, you really should take the time to explore his new website.

Issue 05: Behind the Scenes

01

Image

—01. Shooting Stereograph.

Words

A selection of behind the scenes imagery from the Issue 05 editorial Stereograph. The story, styled by Stephen Mann and shot by Neil Bedford, focuses on the clothing and footwear of Paul Harnden, and is one of my favourite editorials to appear in the magazine to date.

Following on from the editorial they produced for our fourth issue, Neil Bedford and Craig Ford have just released this set of portraits promoting the Fall-Winter '11 Mr. Bathing Ape collection. The pair continue to take an interesting approach towards the brand's image and I'm always impressed with the results.

Inspired by found photographs and classic studio portraits, the Mr. Bathing Ape editorial that Neil Bedford and Craig Ford produced for the latest edition of Inventory is one of the issue's highlights. Here's a small set of behind the scenes images that make a nice addition to the overall story.

Issue 03: Unseen

01

Images

—01. These Things Take Time.
—02. Saving The Nation.

Words

Editing the fashion stories for a new issue of the magazine is never an easy process and there's always some great shots that don't get used. These images were produced for the Issue 03 editorials These Things Take Time by Angelo Baque and Rafael Rios, and Saving The Nation by Stephen Mann and Neil Bedford. Neither appeared in the final stories, but I didn't want them to go unseen.
