Over the last five or six years there has been one definitive name in our blogosphere, Hypebeast. I would be surprised if anybody who reads this website hasn't visited before. I'd also be surprised if every blogger out there wasn't influenced by the website in one way or another. Over the last couple of years Hypebeast has cemented its place at the top even further by refining their layout, execution, video and series of features. Recently we were fortunate enough to be featured by Hypebeast in relation to our new space, the development of the magazine and the direction of our brand.

INVENTORY Editors by Jake Davis

Last week in New York we happened to be in between appointments when Jake messaged me to come drop by for an interesting video project he was putting together. Generally all of us at Inventory like to stay on the other side of the lens but Jake had a simple concept that felt fresh and included a great list of subjects. He was kind enough to include the Inventory editors; Simon Roe, Owen Parrott and myself. The Test Shots are leading off the series that will play out on Jake's blog and be viewable in HD in a much bigger format at Jake's Vimeo page. The videos offer a genuine glimpse into the people and their personalities and really take the idea of a street style photograph to a new place. Thanks again to Jake for including us, enjoy. —

Walk Off: h(y)r vs. Black Lodges

bild1233771497279I've been going back and forth with Steven at Black Lodges for a couple months on a lot of things, but one of the ideas we are doing on Black Lodges is "It's a walk off!" I have to fully give Steven credit for the title. It definitely keeps the tone casual and pretty funny, which is really the vibe at BL. This is the outfit I came up with as my Winter to Spring look. It's layered enough to keep you warm, but incorporates some of the lighter tones and shades that you should be wearing this spring. What I found pretty funny was that both of our looks we're pretty similar, and both of them are more or less what we are wearing on any given day. Anyways, the intro is worth a read and it should be fun to see the website develop over at BL in the next little while. Walk off - Round 1
