There is a certain piece that stands out in this generally simple ensemble. While the simple combination of blues, classic straight leg chinos and a good pair of boots is always good, the A-2 flight jacket by The Real McCoy's is the kind of jacket that can make almost anybody look like a man.

We just received a handful of publications, some new and some regulars. The latest brand book by The Real McCoy's is produced by Lightning, and is one of the best to date. Apartamento's 8th issue features an insert based on orange, and also a coloring book.

The Real McCoy's military selection for this Fall/Winter collection is pretty amazing. There are some beautifully crafted, army inspired garments. There should be no arguing that the 12oz McCoy's sweatshirt is one of the most comfortable and durable pieces we carry in the stockroom. This printed version may not be as subtle but the motifs are unique and it's visually appealing.

As a special offering to some of The Real McCoy's retailers, the Japanese brand opened up a crate from their vintage archive to release these deadstock USN mugs. While they aren't overwhelming to look at online, in person they are beautiful, and a nice design classic for those who appreciate the details.

The Real McCoy's don't often make a lot of mountaineering inspired pieces aside from a some down vests, but this Western Yoke Mountain Parka is definitely worth noting. The muted color combination, fabric choice and quality detailing make this one of the best of its kind.

I struggle with cargo pants, or anything overly military for that matter, I really do. But I'm also prone to allowing two things to sway me into a purchase; pockets; preferably an abundance of them, and refined, authentic details. I like olive green too, don't get me wrong, but, despite fulfilling much of the criteria I mentioned, I'm not sure if these pants are tempting enough for me personally. That doesn't mean to say they wouldn't make the perfect addition to somebody else's daily wears, as braver men than me have both fought in, and casually worn pants such as these.
