Words

In their quest "to design and develop a line of basic essentials that form the foundation of any great wardrobe," Roden Gray have launched No. 8, an in-house brand named after the store's address. The first piece to be offered is a simple suit, available in three colours – navy, black and charcoal. Made in Montreal from Super 100s Italian wool, the two-button style features a shorter cut and slightly higher arm holes for a slim, modern fit.

Yaeca do a great job of presenting their brand through pieces of seasonal collateral, and the most recent example, published for Spring-Summer '14, is no exception. Comprising a handful of different chapters, it features editorial and factory images alongside illustrations and text to help communicate the collection.

Words

Margaret Howell presented their Spring-Summer '15 menswear collection in London yesterday. The English brand remained true to their trademark palette, combining a variety of greys and blues with touches of white and beige. Cropped trousers, parkas and knitwear accented the classic shirting, scarves and footwear to create another beautiful collection.

Words

Subtle differences in fit, weight and styling, combined with personal preferences for each, mean that the search for the perfect T-shirt often feels like a never-ending one. When it comes to heavyweight sportswear-inspired options, however, it would be difficult to fault these plain loopwheeled versions by The Real McCoy's. Made in Japan from 100% cotton, they're one of the best of their kind.

Words

Featuring interviews with Whit Stillman, Tina Barney and Ian Macdonald, the seventh issue of Hot and Cool is arguably their best yet. The latest offering feels quite cohesive, with strong photography and nicely executed editorial pieces, the young magazine hasn't tried to do too much, and continues to evolve in an interesting direction.

K&R Ceramics

Words

Sometimes it takes turning to shops outside of your own continent to discover products that are produced closer to home. That's certainly the case with these ceramics produced by Kat Hutter and Roger Lee. Handmade in Los Angeles, their pottery serves a number of practical purposes and has a decidedly West Coast flavour that looks great in its own right.

Gramicci Cropped Climbing Pant

Words

The outdoor clothing and sportswear brand Gramicci always offer some great casual, no fuss options for the summer as far climbing shorts and pants go and Japanese shops always seem to snap up all of the best styles. This pair, featuring a slightly cropped leg are one of my favourite choices and would be a perfect selection for wearing with sneakers or sandals, and a plain, solid-coloured T-shirt.
