While Simon and I have been busy running from appointments to meetings, we haven't been able to camp outside alongside a slew of photographers to capture the style at Pitti. There are a lot of very nicely dressed men, and some great individual style on hand. Tommy Ton has put together a nice batch of images for GQ, while its a little sharper than my personal taste, for the most part, there are some nice images and its worth a scroll through.

Esemplare

Esemplare is only into their third collection and already have shown us an impressive range of garments. This was the first time I've been able to have a good look at their products, and I was pretty impressed on our first day at Pitti. The Italian brand is designed by a former CP Company designer, so there is some similarities in the technical treatment of fabrics, and the classic sportswear aesthetic. There was a great palette of navy blues, greens and tans in the SS12 collection, highlighted by a number of nice lightweight jackets, and a handful of knitwear pieces. So far the collection has only been available in Italy, where it is made, but it should soon be available at a handful of retailers in the UK.

Handy Dad

With Father's day around the corner, I found this jem down the street and immediately thought the concept and layout was awesome. If I was a kid again, I would love to build all this cool stuff with my dad. The book provides supply lists, outlines building plans and uses colour photographs to detail the scope of the project. Skate ramps, zip lines and go-carts are just a few of the 25 projects that will challenge Dads of all experience levels, young to old.

Florence: Day 1 Snaps

The first leg of the trip mostly consisted of travel, so there weren't a ton of great images to capture from my middle seat on the plane. I got my first taste of Holland in the Amsterdam airport however, before meeting with Simon in Bologna and taking the train into Florence. Tomorrow we're off to the fair grounds to see collections from Esemplare, Yuketen, Monitaly and a few others.

Hypebeast brings us a preview for an upcoming shoe from Clarks and Uniform Experiment. The classic Wallabees are just slightly re-branded, using the timeless tan, and a nice blue suede. Simple, true to the original and rare - they should sell out quickly.

Having graduated from Birmingham Institute of Art and Design in 2008 with a degree in Furniture Design, Dean Edmonds has steadily created an interesting body of work in a variety of metals and woods. Post Overalls was one of the few brands we added to our stock list this summer, and it's the one that we were most excited about - mainly due to their shorts. The fabric is simply great. The weight, colors, construction and patterns all make for some of the best shorts around this season. Post Overalls don't just offer the evidently trendy 'floral' pattern, they also provide some interesting options you won't find from any other brands. We're very pleased to have them in stock, at least for now anyway.
