In Stock: Duluth Pack for Inventory Items

01

Details

—01. Now available in both navy & tan.

Words

While hunting for the perfect rugged canvas back pack, Duluth was the first name that came to mind last summer. We have been thrilled to continually work with the US company on our custom bags and the recent delivery includes both the colours we've made in the last year. The tan and navy canvas are the perfect accents to any outfit and the size and details are ideal for daily use. Both colours come with the locker loop, interior pocket and a lifetime guarantee.

J.Crew Shorts

Words

One thing I seem to buy from J.Crew regularly is their shorts. The fit, fabric and price point are difficult to beat. Even when I might like another option a bit more, J.Crew can often offer a similar version for less than half the price - and I never really feel great about spending a lot on shorts. This summer, like most, there is a nice variety of chino cotton, seersucker and plaid available. From around $40-60 you can easily acquire just what's needed for the heat and these are a a couple of my preferred styles.

Porter x Coffee and Milk Rucksack

Words

Another bag that can only be found in Japan? Yes, I know but that seems to be the case with a lot of accessories I like. I'm unaware of the history of the Coffee and Milk brand myself, but I am definitely a fan of this collaboration. I don't mind the playful leather patches on the top of the bag, but it's the overall shape, style and colour that is most appealing.

Engineered Garments Workaday Tote

01

Images

—01. Subtle contrast stitching.
—02. Removable shoulder strap.
—03. Tough off-white canvas.

Words

Two things that I really like, Engineered Garments and canvas bags. The Workaday canvas collection has been around for seasons now but the tote bag continues to elude me. It's mostly the price point of around $225 that has kept me from buying it, but it's always on my mind and at the top of my list. The Workaday range from Engineered Garments is probably my favorite capsule collection. It consists of great products across the board, and this tote bag is one of my favorites. I will definitely purchase it one of these days, but in the meantime you will also catch a glimpse of it in our spring issue of Inventory as well.

Words

While it seems more and more common that some of today's best magazines are closely linked to design studios, consulting firms, and creative leaders in other fields - it is still interesting to see how these new business models have evolved. One of our favorite publications, Apartamento, has recently released their 5th issue. It's been a success around the world, but it's not surprising once you visit the title's related company, Folch Studio. With an impressive array of design work from the young team, they have designed multiple publications, websites and ad campaigns. It's definitely these sort of companies that are making modern creative agencies more interesting.

Mark McNairy Spring Shoes

01

Details

—01. Spring suedes.

Words

Unsurprisingly Mark McNairy's footwear collection has taken off and been picked up by all of the right shops around the world. The success is arguably due to the clean design and very well made shoes. The silhouette of the bucks are one of the best I've seen and the shape looks and feels great - on, off and from afar. Not only that, but being produced and retailed in England allows Present the chance to offer a pretty appealing price point on some great summer footwear.

Inventory Stockroom & Issue 02 Launch Party

01

Details

—01. Location:
45 Powell St., Vancouver BC.

From 6pm, May 28th.

Words

We've had a very busy 2010 so far and couldn't be more excited for our next step. This Friday, May 28th, we will be opening our first shop in Vancouver, BC. Our new space won't only be home to the Stockroom, but also our new offices which are tucked in the back of the space. It's a big step for us, but opening a brick and mortar shop has always been a dream and the elements have aligned this summer to allow us to continue moving forward. The shop will stock all of the products from the online Stockroom and a couple more. The opening/launch party will also give us the opportunity to celebrate the release of our 2nd issue of Inventory magazine.

If you're in Vancouver this Friday, please come out to the new space; we look forward to seeing everyone there. Thanks so much for the continued support and encouragement. We will be opening in the afternoon and having drinks through the evening.

Papercut is located in Stockholm, Sweden and specializes in supplying the city with some of the best books, magazines and printed matter from around the world. Stocking pretty much all of our favourite titles, they have also been a great supporter of Inventory magazine from the start. With Our Legacy and Nitty Gritty in the neighborhood as well, there's plenty of good places to spend your money if you're in town.
