Monitaly have made a beautiful wool jacket for the fall. With tonal elbow patches, a useful zip pocket and featuring a classic grey wool, this is a great jacket to wear on its own, or as a mid layer in the winter.

Monitaly continue to develop and produce a new verison of their Mountain Parka each season. This fall, the jacket comes in a waxed canvas cotton. Tough, ready for fall and available in some great muted tones, this jacket will be sure to get you through the winter in good shape. It includes a wool lining, nice hardware, and of course it's made in the USA.

Monitaly Herringbone Pants

Not a whole lot I need to say here. It's just another boring product post, another good product that's better than most of them out there. Monitaly has over-dyed the herringbone cotton to the perfect olive green. The sturdy cotton is well suited to the casual nature of the straight leg pants, and nicely accented by the pocket lining. Made in the USA, but not available there as far as I know.

Monitaly have continued to develop and improve the fabrication, cut and fit of their garments, and this fall marked a breakthrough according to Yuki and Minou from Meg Company. The double breasted blazer is one of my favorite items in the collection and the wool version for the fall is one of the best I've seen. Using navy wool on the exterior, a chambray lining and a mixed bag of vintage military buttons, the jacket definitely feels unique and fits very nicely. The flap pockets and soft lapel make it relatively wearable for a double breasted blazer too.

Here's another set of images from the last few months. There's some behind the scenes shots from a couple of editorial shoots, some from our trip to Pitti, and some from the various studios, shops and showrooms we've visited. I shot all the photos on my Canon F1; some of them turned out a little nicer than others, but they all have a great feeling about them.

Monitaly Moc Pad Boots

While Monitaly is more known for their soft goods and outerwear, the Meg Company brand also produces a few pairs of shoes and boots, some of which aren't featured on the website. While designer Yuki Matsuda's footwear focus seems to be with Yuketen, I can't deny how well some of these more obscure models have come out. The moc pad boots definitely remind me of the classic 6" Timberland, but which a nice moc toe, one of Yuki's favorite Vibram soles and a soft leather suede, they definitely feel more refined and more likely to be worn by myself. These ones are available at the United Arrows online store and run up to a 9.5, so they aren't a complete tease. —
