The Needles Spring-Summer ’15 lookbook was recently released on the Nepenthes site, and features Keizo Shimizu’s customary reworkings of vintage, military and sportswear classics with his unique sensibility. There is also a sneak peek at a number of completely new styles from the Rebuild by Needles sub-line; the most outstanding of which are the hunting shirts that utilize a vast array of woodland, duck hunter and desert camouflage, just to name a few.

These Rebuild by Needles pieces bear a strong resemblance to something we might see from Comme, but that doesn't take away from the great look and interesting re-imagining of the two garments put together. Engineered Garments continue their relationship with English footwear specialists, Tricker's, this fall. The Ghillie Brogue, with a removable kiltie, is now available at Nepenthes Japan outlets in navy, chocolate, and earth suede options. Hopefully the style will receive a New York release at some stage too.

Rough & Tumble is one of the lesser known brands under the Nepenthes umbrella, but with the collection more widely available in North America and Europe this spring, its increased visibility looks set to continue. For SS15 their offering features a variety of patchwork shirts, among other styles, mixing patterns, stripes and tones with obvious success.
