Supreme x North Face Spring Anoraks

01

—01. Blue/Red, Camouflage, Black - in that order.

Words

Most people following the blogosphere have seen these jackets by now, but I couldn’t really let them go by without mentioning them on Inventory. After all the blog has been a place to highlight products we like, and I certainly like the latest offering from Supreme. While the anorak itself isn’t as nice as the Woolen Mills option, the colours on the red/blue and camouflage offer a totally different look.

Supreme + Wtaps Baseball Jackets

Supreme+Wtaps 01 The latest and greatest collaboration from the 'streetwear' world has to be the Supreme + Wtaps baseball jackets that are set to release in the next couple of days. I thought that I really liked Supreme's varsity jacket this fall, and I do, but these two melton wool jackets are really doing it for me. From the baseball theme to the execution on the patches to the great addition of the pillows - as expected it's a very well done collaboration. I would happily go for the red or navy version of the jacket, and more than likely never make use of it's reversible functionality. Not that the inside is bad, but the jacket and product is really about the melton wool exterior. The pieces will release at Supreme shops in the USA on December 29th and in Japan early in the new year. Update: You can also have a look at the jackets in action at Honeyee. Maybe not perfect styling for my taste, but they still look great. — If I manage to snag one of the jackets, I'll definitely make sure to get a pillow along with it. Supreme Small Gingham BDs

supreme gingham While there seems to be more classic looking shirting available in the market than I can ever remember, Supreme has been making solid BD shirts well before some of the 'heritage' brands begun their comeback. With a nice use of classic colors, interesting patterns and a nice fit overall, Supreme do well with their shirting season after soon. The shirts often seem to sell out quickly from their NY and LA locations, so finding them in a late delivery overseas might be your only opportunity now. The Glade just received a shipment of these nice small-gingham BD shirts which are ideal for year-round wear. I think Supreme's branding on their BD shirts is also really nice. Using the cursive type on the woven tag inside and just the small red tab on the pocket works perfectly. It suits the brand and is the sort of exterior branding I'm happy to wear – which is rare.

Supreme Tonal Camp Caps

Supreme tonal camp hats One of the most iconic items from Supreme aside from their box tee logo is probably the camp cap. The five panel adjustable lid has been well adorned by NYC skate rats for years but as we grow order and put together smarter outfits, the camp cap will always be relevant and still looks great. This fall's tonal cotton twill series has a couple of absolute classics and must-haves if you're into the hat. I've been stock piling camp caps for a few years the khaki on khaki is calling my name this fall. It goes with almost everything and has a nice fall weight to it.

Supreme Melton Wool Varsity

Supreme Varsity - 01 The varsity jacket is a very difficult piece to master, at least it would seem that way. There are very few that I would like to buy off the shelf but Supreme's fall varsity is really growing on me. I think you should go with no patches or a lot of patches, Supreme obviously went with the latter and came up with the perfect combination of animals, numbers and cursive. The classic colorways are spot on as the New York brand aced this piece, along with most of the fall collection. It's not a jacket I would have put money aside for the second I saw it, but the more I look at it, the more I want to wear it. The 24oz. Melton wool is great for the fall and the leather sleeves are a great compliment, and a necessity for the perfect varsity. There are still a couple left online, but I doubt that will be the case for long. Supreme Varsity - 02

Supreme Ripstop Parka

supreme-ripstop-parkaWhen it comes to waterproof jackets, I definitely like to have a few options. Barbour and Mackintosh cover the traditional angle very nicely. I'm also a fan of the classic four pocket parka we're seeing a lot of at the moment. However, of all the styles available, I have a particular fondness for more technical looking pieces. Not only do they function well but I like the off-key element they can bring to an outfit. I love the styling of old Berghaus jackets. Marmot and Patagonia are great too and I think Supreme have done a fantastic job in the same vein. They've produced this jacket in black and blue but this colour's undoubtedly my favourite. The red and purple feels like such a classic 90s combination. This was something of a golden era for technical clothing and it's a great reference point. Supreme have made these jackets using 3-ply waterproof ripstop. This is not only practical but gives the shell an even more interesting appearance. They've used taped seams throughout and I really like the pocket positioning. As Ryan mentioned recently, this season's collection is particularly strong. There's a few things I want but if I could only choose one item, this would be it.

Supreme Fall Outerwear

supreme-fw-09-outwearI’ve been anxiously awaiting the fall season from Supreme this year. With what I felt was a really strong spring collection, the cut and sew and outwear from the New York based brand continue to look better and better every 6 months. This fall’s collection is now being previewed on their site. I’m sure you’ll see a lot of pictures soon, but out of the gate, these are a few of the outwear pieces I’m interested in. I’m happy to see Supreme will be feeding my camouflage infatuation this season - the fishtail parka would be a great addition to my closet. The parka is probably my top choice from the batch, coming in red, khaki and black, it’s sure to be popular and sell out quickly. The Timberline jacket is also a nice piece, feeling a lot like a Barbour, but a little more stripped down and straight forward, which I like. I had to round out the jackets with a nice looking knit which would work well with layers of wool and chambray. Overall, I’m excited to see the rest of the collection and another strong season from Supreme. See more at Supreme
