Apartamento is one of the best magazines out there today. It's one of my favorites and I was pretty excited to get a chance to contribute to the latest issue, although it's a small piece. It has just been released and we received our shipment of copies yesterday. It's their biggest yet, and on the first couple of flips through, it's yet another beautiful offering from the interiors publication. With features on Carl Johan De Geer, Paz de la Huerta, Leon Ransmeier and 6a Architects, there is a lot of reading to do and great photography to look at. As usual, it won't be in stock for too long.

The current month should prove to be a good one for new issues of good magazines. While ours has finally started hitting shelves and shipping out, Apartamento has finished up their latest effort as well and we are anxiously awaiting its arrival. The magazine has gained a strong following and for good reason. It's interesting, well designed and features some great photography. It should be available by the end of November.

While it seems more and more common that some of today's best magazines are closely linked to design studios, consulting firms, and creative leaders in other fields - it is still interesting to see how these new business models have evolved. One of our favorite publications, Apartamento, has recently released their 5th issue. It's been a success around the world, but it's not surprising once you visit the title's related company, Folch Studio. With an impressive array of design work from the young team, they have designed multiple publications, websites and ad campaigns. It's definitely these sort of companies that are making modern creative agencies more interesting.

Apartamento’s fifth and most recent issue has just begun hitting select retailers around the world and I’m proud to finally make the magazine available in our Stockroom. As ‘an everyday interiors magazine’, Apartamento again delivers a solid selection of short stories, interviews and a newly added travel supplement titled, ‘binocolo’. It’s more rich photography, interesting people and great looking interiors. We not only have the latest issue, but a fair stock of issue 04 as well.

Apartamento Issue #04

DSC_4812 Apartamento has become a well respected and sought after title in a fairly short period of time. The convenient size and beautiful photography are enough to make it an easy pick up — if you can find it. I really find the aesthetic of the magazine and everyday interiors striking a chord each time I flip through the pages. The magazine has a beautiful casual feeling to it, like the subjects and spaces featured inside. Omar Sosa does a nice job with the art direction and design. With a welcoming European feel, the magazine makes me want to slow down a little bit and enjoy my surroundings. The content is usually nice to read and interesting even to someone like myself with little knowledge of furniture design and culture. — DSC_4818DSC_4830DSC_4867DSC_4874
