Words

The latest issue from Huge magazine is now available, and it marks a new era for the legendary fashion publication. The spring fashion special is a new size, opens from the right and includes more pages than ever. The 'reborn' format is also reflected in the publication going to ten issues per year rather than monthly. Included in the special edition is a nice Engineered Garments editorial, among other beautiful spreads.

Making a reversible garment that is actually good on both sides is no easy task. Engineered Garments have answered the call however with the Brookline. This spring is the second season for the new style, featuring a navy poly cotton on one side, and a camouflage rip stop on the other. The jacket is also available in a tan and blue version.

Engineered Garments Sunforger Jackets

01

Info

—01. Khaki.
—02. Navy.

Words

The sunforger fabric has become a staple in the South2 West8 collection, but this spring Engineered Garments have used the khaki and navy cotton really tastefully. Both on the field caps and the Railroad jacket, the cotton washes nicely, wears well and looks great.

Nepenthes recently launched a short online feature which has Daiki Suzuki of Engineered Garments styling a few spring looks featuring the spring EG collection. The way he mixes patterns and plays with textures and color is always interesting to see.

Look: Rusty Tonesen

Words

The climate in Vancouver right now is ideal for comfortable layering. A few layers of cotton with a little bit of wool is enough to get by. It also allows for spring accessories to add some color on the top and bottom. The Beams Plus socks are some of the best we've seen, now available in different colors and heights. They are the perfect hit between some earth tone pants and boots.

Engineered Garments Desert Pants

—01. Navy Wool.
—02. Olive Twill.

Words

Available this season in both an olive cotton twill and a navy serge wool, the Engineered Garments Desert Pant is a favourite of mine, and one of the most regularly worn pieces in my wardrobe. I've heard from people who aren't sold, but I personally think that if you pick up a classic colour, in a slightly looser fitting size, you can't really go wrong. Pockets for stuff, and on sale now at The Bureau.
