Words

The photo book, Chloë Sevigny, has just been released by the much revered Rizzoli publishing house. This hardcover volume features photos of everyone’s favourite It girl throughout the sartorial arc of her career, starting in the ‘90s when she epitomized the downtown NYC skater girl look, right through to her current iteration of trendsetting: high fashion Hollywood actress. "The book includes early personal photos of Chloë taken by her high school friends; film stills; modeling appearances for brands such as Miu Miu and Chloé; magazine editorials for Purple, i-D, and The Face by top photographers such as Mark Borthwick, Terry Richardson, and Juergen Teller; and homages by artists such as Elizabeth Peyton and Karen Kilimnik. Additionally, Sevigny shares some of her treasured personal memorabilia, such as casting fliers, Polaroids, zines, and pages from her day planners.” Chloë Sevigny is a must for die-hard fans and those with an interest in contemporary fashion, alike.

It was with great pleasure that we spent an afternoon with photographer Mark Borthwick for the latest issue of the magazine. Among many topics discussed that day, was the use of images, and the homes that they find over time. During this particular conversation Mark discussed working on a new website with his daughter Bibi, and that particular project has recently gone live. An archive of Mark's fashion, nature and personal photography can be found here, alongside scans of all of his books, and details of past gallery and museum shows.
