There have been a lot of great shades of blue popping up this spring. Nanamica tend to keep it pretty mellow a lot of the time, but this electric blue looks great for a spring jacket. It's different enough from the color of your denim, so that I think you could wear it all the time. It would pop very nicely with khaki as well. Oh ya, and it's made in waterproof Gore-Tex.

Nanamica's spring collection has started to release in Japanese retailers and should be hitting their few western accounts in the near future. There are some interesting shirts, but as always the outerwear is the star of the show. These Gore-Tex Cruiser jackets are another finely designed, simple and functional piece of clothing that I wouldn't mind having for the future.

Words

Nanamica has finally made it into the European market this season and from what I've seen, they haven't disappointed. Their updated versions of classics, fabric choice and general styling is just as it should be. Other people seem to be stuck up on their affiliation with North Face Purple Label, but I think the Nanamica brand itself is more interesting. This fall mac is a fine example of that and a great piece.
