This hat just looks great. Especially with spring/summer around the corner, a nice worn out cap is a handy thing to have around. This Buzz Ricksons version has a nice washed out look to it. Hopefully the stamp would continue to fade out over time, but its a nice piece of military re-production work.

Within the last week we've received two of our favorite collections in-store. Both Engineered Garments and Beams Plus are looking very good for the fresh season, highlighted by great fabrics, very good fits and classic styles. The Beams Plus spring offering includes some really great pants with the herringbone fatigues and the subtle tonal polka dot chinos. The chambray work shirt is a new Beams style, which is a great interpretation of a 50s work shirt Kenny had come across. Rounded off with some bow ties, some linen and madras and a restock on the oxford BDs, it's another strong selection, and only available in North America at Inventory.

Our friend Kyle at Sit and Read furniture has been working on a slight re-brand and re-launch for his website. It's finally up now and it features a handful of great looking chairs, shipables and other bits Kyle has come across. While the Steve McQueen reference bonanza has gone well out of control, the great hand framed shot of McQueen by David Winter is definitely my favorite item available.

We just got back from New York, after spending the week looking at Fall–Winter 2011 collections. The expected favorites didn't disappoint and there were even a couple of exciting new products. The trip was cold, but busy and productive. Already looking forward to next fall, especially now that we've got a very exciting line up of winter collaborations and new items on their way.

I definitely wasn't the first one to jump onto the Converse Addict range, but now that I have, I've been trying to track down a few more pairs before they are gone in certain models. The shoes do reach a somewhat shockingly high price point for one of the most classic and available styles in the world. But the folks at Hypebeast have taken a little deeper look inside the shoe. For me, the more comfortable Vibram sole, the soft leather lining and the upgraded choice of canvas make this classic all the better, particularly in the all white low model.

Mt. Rainier Design Wool Hip Pack

We've only started to see Mt. Rainier Design's collections start to trickle into the western market, but this hip pack is one of my favorite bags they do. This one is from the fall offering, and in navy Melton wool, its a great winter accessory. The spring collection is really strong and we're already looking forward to a good dose of outwear and accessories in the same mountaineering vein.

It feels like spring and summer are still a ways off and these images definitely make me want it to come faster. I love the sprawling landscapes with the little dots of bright color wondering around. They always remind of those epic summer treks out to Shoulder Island.

Comme des Garçons Wallets

Surprisingly there still aren't that many great wallets out there. The one that seems to be carried by many shops, sold by many shops and used by a few people I know is by Comme des Garçons. Their classic half-zip version, among others, has been given a slight upgrade in leather this season. The brown and burgundy are definitely my favorites of the group.
