There isn't much that needs to be said about either of these brands. They both bring a lot to the table and I feel like these pieces are very well done. They're functional, they have some great subtle details, the colors are perfect and though the price is high, pieces like this are built to last.

Patagonia for Apolis

Clean and classic, Apolis have surprisingly teamed up with Patagonia to make a nice looking jacket this fall. The jacket is lightweight, waterproof and features a micro-fleece lining around the neck and top of the jacket. Available in a classic black, the jacket is a simple necessity.

Brutus isn't usually on my list of must-buy Japanese magazines as they don't generally focus on menswear. Their new fall stylebook, however, features Daiki Suzuki and Alden, along with some great looking imagery so I'll definitely be tracking down a copy this time around.

While I'm still overly excited about our Maine Guide shoes, I have to admit that these suede Anlger Mocs on the Vibram Christie sole look really good as well. I am feeling like the Angler might be one of my favorite models from Yuketen, especially for low cut moccasins. The Vibram sole, rather than the crepe, looks really nice and is ideal for the fall weather ahead. The shoe is just plain great looking and very well made.

Margaret Howell Fair Isle Sweater

We received our fall delivery from Margaret Howell last week. We'd been looking forward to it for a while and weren't disappointed. We put most of our focus on the brand's classic pant styles and beautiful knits, but there's also a little shirting and outerwear mixed into the buy. The knitwear is a real standout, not only within the collection, but across the market in general. This Fair Isle crew neck is the perfect example. The sweater is made from Shetland wool and features a very subtle and wearable Fair Isle pattern. It also has a traditional fit which works well with a more natural silhouette, and that makes it one of my favourites.

Nanamica Gore-Tex Mac

Nanamica has finally made it into the European market this season and from what I've seen, they haven't disappointed. Their updated versions of classics, fabric choice and general styling is just as it should be. Other people seem to be stuck up on their affiliation with North Face Purple Label, but I think the Nanamica brand itself is more interesting. This fall mac is a fine example of that and a great piece.

Mountain Equipment Inc. make this bag in the USA, but in Japan the collection falls under the Nepenthes umbrella. I'm not sure how this relationship works exactly, but I'm quite sure these bags are awesome. Clean and classic design, nice color options and a leather bottom are always good elements in a backpack.
