Post O'Alls Linden Jacket

—01-04. The Linden Jacket in Navy.

Words

This happens all the time. Something I've overlooked, usually something that's not typically a style I go for, appears on my radar, and the temptation to try something different becomes just that little bit stronger. While the Linden from Post O'Alls might not be the type of jacket most often associated with the brand, it's also not the most widely seen either, and makes for something a little more out of the ordinary. Who am I kidding? It's a blue cotton jacket, with pockets and a zip. It is nice though.

Post Overalls for Inventory Items

01

Words

These patchwork blankets are among my favorite Inventory collaborations to date. They are hand made by Hiromi Kiyama in Brooklyn, using leftover fabrics from past Post Overalls collections. The mix of patterns and colors combined with Hiromi's knowledge of the craft, and her eye for the art has resulted in a limited selection of beautiful blankets. We've made 15 in total, and recently we received the last five, each hand numbered and signed.

One of my favorite times of the year is when you can mix garments from different seasons. A nice bit of blue, tan and olive always works well together. Cross over pieces from Post Overalls and Inverallan are still perfect in early spring, while denim and chambray from orSlow work seamlessly together. Sturdy footwear is a necessity all year around, so anytime is good for a pair of C-shade Tricker's.

The climate in Vancouver right now is ideal for comfortable layering. A few layers of cotton with a little bit of wool is enough to get by. It also allows for spring accessories to add some color on the top and bottom. The Beams Plus socks are some of the best we've seen, now available in different colors and heights. They are the perfect hit between some earth tone pants and boots.

The Engineer's Jacket

01

Info

—01. Available in cotton canvas & herringbone wool.

Words

Since receiving the last shipment from Post Overalls just before Christmas, there has been one standout item in the shop for me. The Engineer's jacket is becoming one of the brand's most iconic, due to its frequent appearances season after season and Takeshi's obsession with the work wear style. For me, the raglan sleeves, weight of the fabrics and great color options make it one of the most wearable coats I have right now. I brought it with me to Europe on this two and a half week trip and I've worn it every single day now, with no complaints.

Post Overalls No. 1

Info

The No. 1 vest from Post Overalls showcases a nice cut across the collar, subtle pockets and a really nice choice of fabric. A great mid-layer, the vests from Post usually do a good job of keeping the warmth in while adding some good texture.

Post Overalls 5-Pocket Cords

Info

—01. Available in sand and sage.

Words

Post Overalls aren't especially known for their corduroy pants, but these 5-pocket bedford cords are some of the best I've seen this fall. While the sand color might be a little bit light for the dead of winter, I think they look great on a crispy, cool, dry wintery day.
