Painter pants are a classic piece of American work wear. However there aren't a lot of companies consistently making a nice version. Outside of Pointer Brand, one of the only remaining American originals, orSlow from Japan arguably make the nicest painter pant. With a great shape and a small variety of great fabrics, it's tough to find a better option.

The Real McCoy's 41 Trouser is one of the closest in the hunt for the perfect chino, while the orSlow denim BD may just be the perfect shirt. With a mix of Japanese and American products, the quality of the Real McCoy's mixed with the character of Engineered Garments and Post Overalls offers a nice balance and interpretation of Americana.

I regret not ordering these shorts for myself. They are a simple climb short, made in a washed light weight denim. They have a great cut and would be a nice casual summer short. I wouldn't usually wear denim shorts, but I like the way these have come out.

orSlow has quickly become one of our favorite brands in the Stockroom. With great fitting garments, beautiful fabrics and simple details, we haven't been able to find anything wrong. We've just received a small restock of the fatigue pants and chambray work shirts, in addition to the BD shirt available in a two chambray washes and a single wash denim.

Since we opened our shop, countless women have asked us if we might consider bringing in items that would fit them, whether it be mixed amongst our current selection, or an entire womens shop. While the idea is tempting, its a tough market that we don't know a lot about: but these denim trousers made for Fennica do look rather nice.
